ARCES e.V. (Associazione Recreativa Culture d’Europa e Sport) wurde im Jahr 1966 in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf gegründet. Seit 1986 unterhält der Verein eine Sportanlage in Stuttgart-Möhringen. ARCES organisiert sportliche Aktivitäten wie Damen- und Herrenfußball, Boccia sowie interkulturelle Aktionen, z. B. italienischen Sprachunterricht, Kochkurse, Vorträge und Konzerte, Theater, Vernissagen und Studienreisen in die Abruzzen. Bei den sportlichen Aktivitäten sind viele Nationalitäten vertreten.
ARCES ist bemüht sich um ein gutes Zusammenfinden von Einheimischen und Zugewanderten, von Menschen unterschiedlicher Herkunft und Kulturen. Der Verein engagiert sich beim Aufbau einer Stadtteilpartnerschaft zwischen Stuttgart-Möhringen und Canosa-Sannita (Abruzzen).
In einer Reihe von Mikroprojekten hat sich ARCES in den vergangenen Jahren als Migrantenselbstorganisation um die Förderung der Bildung, Elterninformation und Elternarbeit und den Einsatz kulturpädagogischer Ansätze bemüht. Das Vorstandsmitglied Matteo Conti hat darüber hinaus einschlägige Erfahrung in Lernbegleitung und Lernförderung von jungen Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund, nimmt derzeit an einem berufsbegleitenden Masterstudiengang Interkulturalität und Integration teil und ist als Lehrbeauftragter tätig.

The migrants’ organization ARCES (Associazione Recreativa Culture d’Europa e Sport) was founded in 1966 in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf. Since 1986, the association maintains a sports facility in Stuttgart-
Möhringen. ARCES organized sports activities such as men and women soccer and bowling as well as cross-cultural activities, such as Italian language courses, cooking classes, lectures and concerts, theatre, art exhibitions and study tours in the Abruzzi region. Within the sport activities people of many different origins and cultures are represented. The association has edited quite popular cookbooks with recipes from the Abruzzi region. Recently the club a four tracks bowling hall and ―bocciodrome‖ could be inaugurated. This hall is licensed for international tournaments. The bowls team achieved success in the first league and at international level.
ARCES is seeking a great coming together of locals and immigrants, people of different backgrounds and cultures. The association is involved in building a partnership between Stuttgart-Moehringen and Canosa-Sannita (Abruzzi). In a series of micro-projects has ARCES in recent years to a migrant organization the promotion of education, parental information and parents work and the use of cultural-educational approaches tried.
The member of board Matteo Conti has relevant experience in tutoring and learning support of young people with immigrant backgrounds, is currently on a part-time master degree program Inter-culturalism
and integration part and works as a lecturer.
